1.
Song Style
Songs may be in any style (e.g., pop, folk, rock, rap, classical). A substantial amount of the song must include vocal work (i.e., instrumental music is not permitted).


2.
Song Duration
Songs may not exceed three minutes in length.


3.
Language
Songs may be sung in any language(s), though participants are encouraged to sing in their respective countries' languages.


4.
Eligibility
Any country may enter the contest. After voting ends, countries which finish in the bottom 33.3 percentile (rounded down; e.g., out of twelve, thirteen, or fourteen competing countries, the bottom four) are ineligible to enter the next contest, but may enter again after that.


5.
Voting
Everyone is welcome to vote by going to the voting page. You may vote as many times as you like. You may either choose a single favorite song, which awards five points to the country, or three top favorites in order, which awards 5 points to your top favorite, 3 points to your second favorite, and 1 point to your third favorite.


6.
End of Voting
Voting for the 2011 contest ends at 12:01am, December 1, 2011, Pacific Time (Western USA); the contest producer(s) reserves the right to extend the voting deadline or close the voting at any time.


7.
Winner
Once voting ends, points are tabulated, and the country earning the highest number of points shall be declared the winner.


8.
Ties
When two or more countries tie in number of points, the tie is broken by the following methods, in this order:

A.
The country which received points from the greater number of voters, regardless of point value, is the winner.
B.
If using Rule A still results in a tie, then the country for which the most number of five point votes has been cast is the winner.
C.
If using Rule B still results in a tie, then the country for which the most number of three point votes has been cast is the winner.

9.
Voting Irregularities
In the case of any voting irregularities, the contest producer(s) reserves the right to choose a winner and/or determine final rankings.
